Precision is our watchword. We select the finest quality raw materials for producing our oenological woods. Thanks to our in-depth knowledge of the organoleptic characteristics of different oak varieties, we are able to make precise, meticulous selections for our products.

Exceptional wood

Our sourcing focuses exclusively on French oak (Quercus petraea et Quercus robur) and American oak (Quercus alba). Moreover, our wood maturation park in the south-west of France guarantee ideal conditions for natural ageing of the wood over a minimum period of 24 months.

Œnobois s’appuie sur une équipe talentueuse et des technologies de pointe pour garantir l’excellence de ses produits. Nos 14 collaborateurs expérimentés travaillent avec un outil de production innovant.

Chaque étape cruciale de notre processus, telle que la maturation, le broyage, les contrôles visuels et les emballages, est soumise à des normes rigoureuses. Cette approche méthodique nous permet d’assurer l’uniformité et la reproductibilité de nos produits.

Nous portons une attention particulière à la chauffe de nos bois, dans le but de mettre en valeur leur potentiel aromatique ainsi que leur capacité à structurer les vins.

Nos procédés de chauffe sont réalisés par convection d’air, assurant une chaleur uniforme qui pénètre au cœur des produits, garantissant ainsi leur homogénéité.

Pour les douelles, nous procédons également à une seconde chauffe par radiation en surface qui leur apporte une complexité aromatique supplémentaire.

Environment

Œnobois takes part in the fight against wood waste by working daily with unselected wood scraps from stave cutting. From this noble raw material, we produce our wood for oenology in a precise and repeatable way.
